A microcosm is defined as "encapsulating in miniature the characteristic qualities or features of something much larger" while macrocosm is defined as "the whole of a complex structure, especially the world or universe, contrasted with a small or representative part of it".
For this project we were tasked (similarly to the point project) with finding pictures in nature that fit the definitions of micro and macrocosms. We had to find ten pictures for each and create a collage with the pictures taken. One thing that I really like about this picture is the variations in textures that you can see in the different objects, like in the lettuce or the flowers.
After I created my collage I decided to play around with some of the colors, which can be seen down below:
After this I decided to mess around with Photoshop to add different elements to the pictures I had. While looking at my pictures of fruit I noticed the stickers. I took those pictures of fruit in a grocery store, which is why there are stickers on the fruit. I decided to see what would it would look like if the pictures I took in nature had stickers on them. Design-wise its subtle.
While I was rewatching the anime Naruto, I was reminded of the character Konan who wears a flower in her hair. I decided to see what she would look like if I changed her design to include a flower from a picture that I took.
