For our third assignment, we were to take fifty pictures with examples of the element point and create a collage out of our favorite twenty pictures that we took. We had to have a theme surrounding the pictures and each picture had to display the element in design of point. A point is a a small mark or focal point in a design. My theme surrounded the interiors of tires because they become focal points when looking at the tire as a whole. I have included a collage of my point project in color and in black and white.
I decided to keep this project with a predominately black and white color scheme, with the occasional flash of color from a few of the cars because the emphasis was the tires, which still stand out from each other because of their different patterns and designs rather than being colorful.
While putting the collage together, my internet was being slow with the upload and I said, 'Gosh, I'm so tired of this." After about a minute I realized that I just made an unintentional pun and then thought more about other car related puns. I got the idea to see what sort of design I could make with my point project surrounding an idea of a "Drive against inequality" and the designs I came up with, while simple, are interesting and I enjoy them.
