The golden ratio is a mathematical ratio that is often found in art, architecture, and even nature. It is simplified as 1.618. It can be seen visually in the spiral below:
I wanted to see if I could find this ratio in movies so my first challenge was to settle on what movies I would work on. I eventually settled on looking at Studio Ghibli films. I laid out the sequence over various screenshots from the movies. These can be seen below.

The next part of the assignment was to create our own designs with the Golden Ratio. I decided to continue using Studio Ghibli films to find my design for this project. We had to use both the golden ratio and color theory (mainly complimentary colors) in our design. I decided to recolor screenshots from different films using complimentary colors and the golden ratio spiral.

The golden ratio is commonly shown with circles, as seen below:
I wanted to make a design using these circles, and the first circular objects I could manipulate that came to mind were the Dragon Balls from the Dragonball series.
I decided to first color all of the dragon balls into a picture with primary and a picture with secondary colors.
I took each ball, colored it into complimentary color combinations, and arranged them into the golden ratio sequence.
